Friendship is a treasure: Carola and Donato Dozzy join their forces
It’s a matter of friendship. And when friendship’s there, music flows effortless, creativity flows effortless. You may be surprised to hear that our Carola Pisaturo and well revered techno maestro Donato Dozzy joined their forces, as they’re supposedly hailing from different backgrounds and operating in slightly different settings (powerful and sensual house joints for Carola, marvellously crafted off-stream techno cathedrals for Donato) but well, you’re wrong.
They know each other since fifteen years or so, they share mutual experience and knowledge of the dance scene in its deepest forms. Actually, they’ve never collaborated together. But one day Donato made a phone call to Carola, “Listen, I think I’ve got something for your label, Claque Musique”, totally unexpected to Carola, and the “Cassandra EP” made its way, becoming one of the best and longest sellers of Carola’s label. So tons and tons of laughs, jokes, thoughts made through the years between each other became also time spent in a studio, jamming a lot with synthesisers (…yes, they did it the old, analogue way first). Result is OSCAR: a name homage to the well famed OSCar sytnesiser.
Another result is a first appearance at Harmonized, one of the best and most qualitative club nights in Italy, the 5th of November. It’s going to be a sort of back to back. Maybe. Hard to tell, as they’re gonna follow the vibe, the mood, their very own inspiration – as there a complete, mutual trust in each other, so no reason to plan in advance. Next spring a proper OSCAR release will come, on Claque Musique.
This is all good news. Two wonderful people, two great producer, two amazing dj’s join their forces. And it’s first a matter of friendship, no speculations or calculations involved. There are the stories we love, here at LATERRA. Proud of our Carola, once again!
