The Einmusika label hits release number 51 with a truly heart warming new EP from Giorgia Angiuli. The Italian producer is an adult hero in many circles and is often found laying down killer sets at fine clubs in Berlin. Here she serves up four cuts of emotive house that really get under your skin. She has ties with BPitch Control, Crosstown and many more and it is easy to see why she is so in demand. Up first is the spine tingling Choose the Harmony, a slick, soft focus track with whispered vocals and lush pads that really make for a nice atmosphere that is full of late night romance and neon colour. Then comes Free, a more breezy and open tune with sunny melodies and rugged arps streaming over rubbery drums. Here the vocals are treated perfectly and again add an angelic air to the music. In the Dark is next and is a more shadowy tune for the sweatier, more energetic moments of a DJ set. It serves on with slick lines and percussive patterns next to catchy little synth hooks. Finally, Modular Dream is a textured, absorbing cut of polished deep house with a truly breezy, laid back vibe and some lovely, organic guitar basslines. This is a sensuous EP that deserves lots of attention.
